A group of 52 students were selected from more than 300 applications from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela to participate in The six days of the Film Preservation and Restoration Summer, a program organized by INCAA (National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts) and CINAIN (Cinematheque and Archive of the National Image), in collaboration with FIAF (International Federation of Film Archives) , Cineteca di Bologna and L’Immagine Ritrovata, which will take place between 27 March and 1 April 2017.

The meeting is an intensive training and improvement program for film, museum, archival and film laboratories around the world, to promote and promote understanding and shared knowledge in the field of film restoration and preservation to help safeguard the Cinematographic heritage.

This program will include projections, lectures and practical lessons, carried out by experts from around the world and the staff of L’Immagine Ritrovata. The aim is to address the current problems of film preservation and restoration, and provide participants with hands-on training on current restoration and best practices for archiving.
